The Dovecote

Located on a Dales farm in the heart of Wensleydale

The Dovecote is a former barn lovingly restored in 2020. It is surrounded by farm animals, rolling hills and the characteristic dry stone walls of Wensleydale creating a natural paradise. The accommodation is a compact three-story tower traditionally used to house doves.

With a kitchen, sitting room and bedroom, it is the perfect spot to unwind next to the cosy log burner. Relax in the deep, freestanding bath while enjoying spectacular views over Castle Bolton and the River Ure!

Built from locally sourced and sustainably harvested Ash trees, the Dovecote is a quirky combination of modern luxury set in the traditional landscape. Perfectly situated to access footpaths from your doorstep or to enjoy the UKs largest IDA recognised Dark Sky Reserve!

The Dovecote is easy to find, close to the main road, yet very secluded with onsite parking. The nearest villages are Aysgarth, which is just over a mile away, and West Witton, which is 2 miles away. Askrigg, Leyburn and Hawes are also within a short drive.
